A GARDEN . . . A FAIR

Join Community Gardens Prince George Society on Sunday, June 4th for their annual Environment Day plant sale fundraiser at 10 a.m. at 1540 Milburn Avenue. Environment Day activities begin at 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with displays and resources to help you protect the environment as you plan and manage your outdoor spaces. There will be local organizations hosting displays and providing resources on everything from bats, birds, composting, land trusts, local foods, water conservation, organic gardening and more. Since WWII North Americans have invested much of their newfound wealth in suburbia.  It has promised a sense of space, affordability, family life and upward mobility.  As the population of suburban sprawl has exploded in the past 50 years, so too the suburban way of life has become embedded in the North American consciousness.  As we enter the 21st century, serious questions are beginning to emerge.

No admission, but if you want to give donation it will be accepted.
