Poem Lives Off the Land

On the wrong word, a roadless plan, a jettisoned part of something else. The excess securities did not float. His arrival in the place was reflexive, interdependent, economical in a prehistoric way. He began by relearning pronouns and listening to the dissertations of a glance, an anecdote. The text, which was not one, did not lift free like a pull-tab. He un-asserted himself, became a slave, landless, literate.
